Who we help

Accessibility for Multi-Location Businesses

Your locations share one website and the same page templates. We test those templates with a keyboard and screen readers, and fix them once, so every location page gets the fix.

What we test

  • Location pages

Address, hours, phone number, services and staff for each location, built from a shared template.

  • Location finders

Searching by city or ZIP code, the list of results, and whether a screen reader hears how many locations were found.

  • Maps and directions

Map embeds and directions links, and whether the address is on the page as text too.

  • Booking and contact forms

Booking, contact and quote forms on each location page, from the first field to the confirmation.

  • Shared header, footer and menus

The header, footer and menus every page shares, tested once, because a fix there reaches every page.

Barriers we often find

  • Barrier

A location finder that updates its results without telling a screen reader that anything changed.

    Fix

We announce how many locations were found after each search, and make every result reachable with a keyboard.

  • Barrier

A map embed with no text alternative, so a screen reader user can't find the address.

    Fix

We fix the shared template once, so the address and directions show as text on every location page.

  • Barrier

Opening hours in a table with no headers, so a screen reader reads out a list of times with no days.

    Fix

We add day and time headers in the shared template, so every location's hours read clearly.

  • Barrier

Location pages that all have the same page title, so a screen reader user can't tell them apart.

    Fix

We add the location's name to each page title and main heading, from the shared template.

  • Barrier

Many links that all say "Book now", so a screen reader user hears a list of links that sound the same.

    Fix

We add the location to each link's name, like "Book now at the Downtown location".

  • Barrier

Staff and location photos with no text description.

    Fix

We make sure the shared template uses the description each team writes for its photos, and show them where to add it.

What we can't control

  • Map, location-finder and booking tools are often another company's code, and we can't change it. If a problem is in another company's tool, we write it up for you to send to them. If it makes sense, we can also build you an accessible replacement.
  • A location page built outside the shared template, or a location's separate website, needs its own testing and fixes.
  • Updates from your platform or template provider can undo a fix. Your dated fix log shows every change, so it can be redone.
  • New locations, photos and offers can add new barriers. That's what monitoring is for.

Where to start

  • Free snapshot

We check up to 10 key pages, like your home page, location finder and a few location pages, and send you a plain-English summary.

  • Accessibility audit

People test your shared templates and key journeys, like booking, with a keyboard and screen readers. From $1,200.

  • Monitoring plans

The Multi-location plan: $995 a month for up to 10 location pages, plus $75 for each extra location. One fix in a shared template reaches every location page.

Questions

How does one fix reach every location?

Most location pages are built from one shared template. When we fix the template, every page built from it gets the fix. Your dated fix log records each change.

Which plan fits a multi-location business?

The Multi-location plan is $995 a month for up to 10 location pages, plus $75 a month for each extra location. It includes everything in Managed testing + fixes. Month to month. Cancel with 30 days' notice.

Do you test every location page?

We test the shared template on a few location pages, plus your key journeys from start to finish. If a location's page is built differently, we test it on its own.

Our booking or map tool comes from another company. Can you still help?

Yes. We test the journey, including their part. If a problem is in another company's tool, we write it up for you to send to them. If it makes sense, we can also build you an accessible replacement.

What if some locations have their own website?

Each separate website is priced on its own. Locations that share one site and its templates are covered by the Multi-location plan.

We provide technical accessibility services, not legal advice.
